Morgan County BOE personnel action

• Approved recommendations for tenure for the 2012-20123 school year as follows: Kathy Craig, librarian at PES; Tara Martin, teacher at DMS; Paula Phillips, reading coach at UHS; Mica Rabb, gifted teacher countywide; Kelly Spangler, teacher at SMS; Chat Summerford, teacher at FES; Lindsey Thorn, teacher at WMMS; Fred Childs, bus driver countywide; Charity Goodwin, secretary at DNES; Kathy Ransom, custo0dian at Priceville High School; and Sherry Scott, bus driver countywide

• Approved contracts with the following Morgan County Learning Center’s Alabama High School graduation exam review program, effective June 11-29, 2012: Rhonda Booth, Cheryl Bumpus, Carole Sharp, Janice Vest, Kim Colwell, Jennifer Brown, Cara Gilchrist, and Sandra Trotter. All salaries are from the High Hopes supplemental funds from the state; there is no cost to Morgan County Schools

• Approved Rance Wigginton as countywide bus driver, effective with the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year. He will replace Brenda Latham who resigned.

• Accepted the resignation of Jessica Thompson as a teacher and coach at Brewer High School, effective May 24, 2012

• Accepted the resignation of Tiffany Wells, a 5th grade teacher at Cotaco School, effective May 28, 2012

• Approved the transfer of Cynthia Hammond from counselor at Union Hill School to counselor at Brewer High School, effective at the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year

•Approved a supplemental contract with Tim Hodson as assistant softball coach (non-staff) at Priceville High School, effective for the 2012-2013 school year

• Approved a supplemental contract with Casey Smith (non-staff) as boy’s varsity soccer coach at Priceville High School, effective for the 2012-2013 school year
