Town Election

Candidates are: Mayor, Bob Ramey and Lance Stidham; Place 1, Brandon Dillard, Bobby Roy Jr. and Bennie F. Weaver; Place 2, Alton Hill; Place 3, Charles Gover and Matt Stiles; Place 4, David Carroll; Place 5, Patrick Holmes and Ken Winkles. The election will be held August 28.

Falkville First Baptist Church will conduct a Back to School Bash at the church, August 9 at 5 p.m. It will be for children in K-5th grade. There will be games, food and a lot of fun. Come and have a fun evening.

Falkville First Baptist will also have a prayer walk starting at 9 a.m. on Aug. 11. The group will meet at the flag pole between the elementary school and Falkville High School. This prayer walk is for school children and their teachers.

Food tip: Date leftover food that you put in the refrigerator. By doing this, you will know whenever the food is no longer good and is ready to throw out.

Invite guests to a Jewelry Swap Party. Have each guest bring jewelry that they no longer want and swap with them. Serve refreshments, like finger foods and drinks and have a fun evening getting new jewelry. You can also swap books.
