Hartselle High School head football coach Bob Godsey was well pleased with the turnout for the run.
“This is about twice the number of participants we had last year,” Godsey said. “That’s great. We want to continue to build support for the run.”
“We have 200 kids from grades seven through 12 involved in our football program,” he said. “It requires a lot of funding to meet their needs, plus we want to do anything we can to continue the improvement of our facilities.”
He said the football stadium would get a new scoreboard this year.
The run was headed up by Scott Shelton, and River City Runners provided timing equipment and run results. Football Moms also provided assistance.
