Barkley Bridge Elementary students supported Red Nose Day on May 5 and partnered with Hartselle Walgreens to raise money for childhood poverty. Principal Tina Towers said they had full participation from the entire school and staff and they truly enjoyed being a part of the effort. “It was a fun day in which students learned how important it was to love others and help others in need,” Towers said. “Students and staff purchased a red nose for $1.00 and partnered with our local Walgreens for the red nose day event.” Towers said the school was able to raise $410.00, which would go to help fight childhood poverty.
