Sparkman Park Stampede set for Saturday (with entry form link)

The Hartselle Cross Country team is sponsoring the Sparkman Park Stampede 5k Cross Country Race and 1-mile Fun Run Saturday at Sparkman Park.

The race will begin at 8 a.m. for the 5k and the 1-mile fun run is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Registration will be at 6:30 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 10 a.m.

This will be a Cross Country race around that is run entirely within the confines of Sparkman Park. The course’s start and finish will take place near the concession stand of the soccer fields on Groover Road. Parking is available throughout the park.

Awards will be given in the 5K for the following categories: the overall male and female finisher; overall masters male and female finishers; and the top three male and female finishers in each age division. (Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards). T-shirts will be given to the first 150 registered runners.

Entry fees are $25 for the 5k and $15 for the fun run. Bring the form and your registration fee to the park Saturday morning to register.
