Blades steps up as QB for Priceville

Priceville’s Harold Blades picks up yardage after a catch against Ardmore. The speedy receiver had 13 catches for 174 yards and two TDs in this game. | Clif Knight

Wide receiver Harold Blades gave Priceville High School football fans a lot to cheer about in 2011 as he used his quick moves to elude defenders, his soft hands to catch passes and his fast feet to score touchdowns. His future gives promise of many more accolades.

“He’s now our quarterback,” said Bulldogs head coach Dirk Strunk.

The senior didn’t waste any time showing his coaches, teammates and fans what he can do with his hands and feet when he takes a snap from center.

In his team’s 33-26 win over Phil Campbell in a spring game at Bulldog Stadium on May 18, he ran with the ball for 120 yards and a touchdown and passed for 63 yards and two touchdowns.
