Friendly way to offer praise

History lesson this week: Patting someone on the back means giving praise.

Recycle plastic pint bottles and keep the amount of water you should drink a day in them, by doing this, you will know that you drank the amount of water you need for the day.

Marinated Brussels Sprouts

2 (10 ounce) packages Brussel Sprouts, cooked

1/2 cup cooking oil

1/4 cup vinegar

1/4 cup sugar

Combine ingredients and marinate overnight.

New York Hot Dogs

Kraut, diced onions and mustard. Use whole wheat hot dog buns for these hot dogs.

Braves Hot Dogs

Slaw, chili, onions and sweet pickle relish. Use whole grain hot dog buns on whole wheat buns.

Cooking hint: line muffin tins with cup liner and make salads in them and place in freezer for frozen salads.

Peach Soda

1 T. peach jam

1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

Cola drink

Place peach jam into a glass and add ice cream and stir. Add cola drink and stir again.

Root Beer Delight

2 scoops chocolate ice cream

1 bottle root beer

Put scoop of ice cream in two glasses and fill glasses with root beer. You can use your favorite cola drink in this recipe instead of the root beer.
