Freddie Louise Rooks

Funeral for Freddie Louise Rooks, 79, of Danville will be Wed., May 2, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. C.G. Reding officiating.

Visitation will be Tues., May 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery, Speake.

Mrs. Rooks died Sat., April 28, 2012, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Cullman County to Ellis Monroe and Leia Nails Bozeman. She was a member of Piney Grove Church of Christ in Moulton and was a former cook at Falkville Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Rooks; a son, Michael Rooks; a daughter, Shirley Lentz; two brothers, Jimmy and Buck Bozeman; and her parents.

She is survived by three sons, Rickie Rooks of Danville, Gerald Rooks of Texas and Brock Rooks of Decatur; seven daughters, Kathy Stewart and husband Karl of Vinemont, Joann Kelsoe and husband Dewayne and Rita Freeman and husband Shannon, all of Moulton, Christie Rooks of Huntsville, Ronda Burnett of Decatur, and Shanae Rooks and Debbie Rooks Hill, both of Danville; a brother, Glen Bozeman of Cullman; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Anthoney Kelsoe, Dustin Kelsoe, Brock Rooks, Roy Lentz, Derik Stewart, Mark Stewart and Skyler Kelsoe.
