Funeral service for Ricky Lindsey, 59, was held Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Ledbetter officiating and
Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Enon Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Lindsey died on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at his residence.  He was born
May 24, 1964, in Lawrence County to Rayburn Dale Lindsey and Virgie Ellen
Solomon Lindsey.  He was employed by Yale Carolinas/ Wheeler Material
Handlers as a Technician, prior to his passing. He was preceded in death by
his father.
Survivors include his son, Justin Grimmett (Elizabeth); daughter, Jada Robinson; mother, Virgie Ellen Solomon Lindsey; brothers, Jim Lindsey (Joann); and Glen Lindsey; sister, Debra Hipshire (Josh); grandchild, Scarlett Grimmett; nieces and nephews, Adam Lindsey (Robin), Amber Johnson (Dakota) and Chyna Crowe (Jesse).
Pallbearers were Justin Grimmett, Kevin Davenport and Danny West,  along
with other family and friends. 

 

 

Dolly B. Holmes
Hartselle

Funeral service for Dolly B. Holmes, 84, was held Thursday, May 2, 2024 at
1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Culp officiating and
Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Holmes died on Monday, April 29, 2024, at her residence.  She was born
January 11, 1940, in Dekalb County, Tenn., to Frances Wilson. 
She was employed as a dietician and lunchroom worker for Morgan County High
School, prior to her retirement. Preceding her in death were her husband,
Wilburn Leon Holmes, her parents, and her brother, Nelson Miller.
Survivors include, her sons, Marshall Holmes (Sheila), Randy Holmes Bradley Holmes; brothers Raymond Miller (Donna) and Robert Rowe; sisters, E.C. McDonald (Junior) Freda Boger; grandchildren, Renee Kennedy and Dustin Holmes; great-grandchildren, Brett Kennedy and Braxton Kennedy; one great-great grandchild, Levi Kennedy.
Pallbearers will be Chad Tribble, Josh Tribble and Dusty Holmes. 

 

 

Jennifer Joy Anders
Birmingham

Jennifer Joy Anders, 50, of Birmingham, passed away Thursday, April 11,
2024. Born on March 21, 1974, she was a native of Hartselle, grew up in
Florence, and graduated from Bradshaw High School in 1992.
Jennifer attended the University of Alabama and graduated with honors in
1996 with a degree in finance and a minor in computer science. She worked as
a business analyst after college, and after years in the field, changed
careers to focus on caring for others as a home healthcare worker.  She had
a creative spirit, and spent time drawing cartoon characters and later,
painting.  She was also an animal lover and a talented musician who played
piano, guitar, mandolin and violin.
Jennifer is survived by her parents, Larry and Nancy Anders, sister,
Stephanie Anders (Carlos Salazar) and brother, Corey Anders; aunts and
uncles Joe and Joy Groover, Theron and B.B. Anders, and Ferrell and Pauline
Anders; cousins Mike Groover (Sonya), Suzanne Groover, Laura Anders Lee
(Bryan), Will Anders (Robin), Zeke Anders (Larysse) and Kelilah Anders
Johnson (Matt); stepsisters Melissa Atterberry (Will) and Laura Kruck
(Mark); special friends Angelynn Edwards, Erin Marsh, and Craig Phillips;
her cat Linus, and many friends and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxye Gibson Anders; maternal
grandparents, Ila Moore Gibson and William “Buck” Gibson; paternal
grandparents, Doris Anders Herring and William Minter Anders; and her
beloved canine companion Maggie.
A celebration of her life will be held on May 18 from 3-5 p.m. at
Sheffield Methodist Church, 701 N Montgomery Ave in Sheffield. Final
arrangements were made by Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle.
A private interment will be held later at Hartselle City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations may be made to the First
Methodist Church, Hartselle Piano Fund, or your local animal shelter.
 

 

Cornelia Anne Walker
Hartselle

Cornelia Anne Prince Walker, 71, of Hartselle, Alabama went to be with her
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. She was born
November 16, 1952, in Morgan County, to Paul G. and Betty Jane Stewart
Prince.
Funeral service was held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. Devlon Carroll officiating and Peck Funeral Home
directing. Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery. She was a Christian Lady, who had a strong spiritual walk with the Lord.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Charlie G. Prince;
sisters, Carolyn Prince and Mary Paul Hendry; daughter, Kathryn “Katie”
Carroll; and grandson, Charles Stewart Carroll.
Survivors include, a son, John David Blackwood (Kim); a daughter, Stewart Soto (Rodney), a sister, Beck Tankerlsey (Joe Ed); grandchildren, Hayley (Jesus) Berlanga, Natalie Hoover (Shyanne), Payton Hoover, Anna Carroll (Alek McCay), Carly Carroll, Rachel Carroll, Gia Soto, Dyanna Soto, Adri Soto, Kaleigh Soto and Walker Soto; great-grandchildren, Vivian Kathryn McCay, Brenton McCay, Javi Berlanga and Alex Gonzalez. Pallbearers were Wesley Tankersley, Eli Tankersley, Dalton Green, Dylan Green, Charlie P. Prince, Alek McCay and Brett Haggermaker.

Funeral service for Devin Holmes, 46, was held Monday, May 6, 2024 at 3:00 PM
at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeremy Oden and Bro. Randy Sellers
officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Eva Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, May 6, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck
Funeral Home. 
Miss Holmes passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Cullman Regional Medical
Center.  She was born February 13, 1978, in Cullman County, to Charles
Wesley Holmes and Marcella Stinson Holmes. 
She was a member of the Eva Methodist Church. Devin was Eva’s Sweety Pi.
Preceded in death by her father, sister, Erica Leeann Holmes; grandparents,
Leslie Eugene Holmes, Averine Holmes and Alvernell Stinson; uncle, Aubrey
Davenport.
Survivors include mother, Marcella Stinson Holmes; brother, Nathan Holmes; uncle, Karim Shoeybipour, aunts, Brenda Shoeybipour and Melvie Holmes; a host of cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Holmes, George Frost, Jeff Frost, Kevin Bailey,
Jason Holmes, Steve Childers and Clay Speer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eva Lions Club and Grant Holmes.
In lieu of flowers, family request memorial donations be made to the Eva
Lions Club.   

 

 

 

Leslie Clark 
Decatur 

Funeral service for Leslie Clark, 90, was held Monday, 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM at
Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eldridge Criscoe and Bro. Gary Dobbs
officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in the
Burningtree Cemetery. 
Mr. Clark died Friday, May 3, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his
family. He was born October 21, 1933, in Morgan County to Herbert Lacy Clark
and Cora Verna Wilson Clark.
Mr. Clark retired from Monsanto where he worked in the Quality Department.
After his retirement, Mr. Clark farmed and raised cattle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ronnie Clark and two
brothers, Jerry and Bill Clark.

Survivors include his wife, June Osborn Clark; sons, Mike Clark (Fay); Jimmy Clark (Wanda); brother, Ken Clark; sister, Monta Sue Ellis, six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, seven great- great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Clark, Daniel Borden, Shane Kitchens, Josh Brown,
Jonathan Cornelius and Keenna Osborn
Honorary pallbearers will be Mikal Kitchens and Shannon Kitchens. The family
of Mr. Clark has asked, in lieu of Flowers, please make donations to Hospice organization of your
choice. 
 

 

Mason Cain Holmes  

Somerville  

Funeral service for Mason Cain Holmes, 23, was held Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gregg Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Mr. Holmes died on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at his residence. He was born Thursday, May 4, 2000, in Morgan County, to Ashley Tyrone Holmes and Amanda Joy Harris Holmes Wilson. He worked as a roofer and was preceded in death by grandparents, David Harris and Freddie and Sandra Holmes. He was loved dearly by his family and will be missed. Survivors include mother and stepfather, Joy Holmes Wilson (Gary Wilson); father, Ashley Tyrone Holmes; brothers, Seth Holmes, Zac Wilson; sister, Kenzie Wilson; nephew, Dominik Wilson; grandparents, Doris Harris and Debbie Smith.
