Bruce ‘Rooster’ Smallwood

Funeral for Bruce “Rooster” Smallwood, 62, of Hartselle was Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Mr. Smallwood died Saturday, April 7, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Treadwell Smallwood. Bruce had been away from the Hartselle area for over 11 years and during that time became a changed person. One of his final requests was that his obituary convey a sincere apology to anyone he had wronged during his lifetime.
He is survived by two sons, Jeff Smallwood and Tim Smallwood and wife Amy, all of Hartselle; a brother, the Rev. Glen Smallwood and wife Jane of Cullman; two sisters, Cathie Keen and husband Buddy of Hartselle and Cindy McCravy and husband Charles of Decatur; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Russell, Paul Wayne Tapscott, Lynn Burns, Brent Burns, Tony Smallwood and Kevin McCravy.
