Funeral for Cora Virginia Fowler Moon, 101, of Decatur was Friday, Mar. 9, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Holt officiating.
Burial was in Blue Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Moon died Wednesday, Mar. 7, 2007, at Decatur Health &Rehab Center. She was born March 25, 1905, in Morgan County to William Manning Fowler and Minnie Virginia Dearman Fowler. She was preceded in death by her parents, 15 brothers and sisters and a great-great grandson, Chub Brown.
She is survived by a daughter, Lucille Virginia Brown of Decatur; a granddaughter, Bonnie Brown Collins of Somerville; a grandson, Wm. Earl Brown of Gulfport, Miss.; five great-grandchildren, David Brown, Margie Rosebury, Jackie Pyles, Renee Clemons and Tammy Massa; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Thomas Fowler, Jimmy Wilhoite, Ken Massa, Chris Clemons, Jackie Tucker and John Rosebury.
The family thanks the staff of Aseracare Hospice and Decatur Health and Rehabilitation Center.
