Ms. Green died Wed., Apr. 4, 2012. She was born June 29, 1921, to Aubrey Maxwell and Hattie Bevins Maxwell. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir for many years before moving to Sierra Springs in Hartselle and The Terrance in Priceville.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and a pillar of the community, with many friends she loved dearly. She was an avid shopper but most of all she loved shopping at Caster Knotts and eating at Quincy’s. She was a retired Redstone Arsenal employee. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ewell Greene; and a special friend, Dorothy Mae Walker who was her best friend since childhood.

She is survived by her only son, Hugh Greene and wife Susan of Somerville; two grandsons, Hugh Greene Jr. and wife Melanie and Nathan Greene, both of Somerville; two great-granddaughters, Jacquelyn and Kayleigh; and two special friends, Ray and Donna Hill, both of Priceville, both of whom she thought of as family.

The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Jay Pohl, Dr Evans, Lori McGrath and the nurses and staff of Cullman Regional Medical Center and The Terrace.
