Funeral for Marie G. Woods, 79, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Wendell Callahan and Thomas E. Elder officiating.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Woods died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 18, 1927, in Morgan County to Walter M. Griffith and Mattie Lou Engel Griffith. She was a Decatur General Hospital volunteer, a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Herman O. Woods.
She is survived by three sons, Larry D. Woods of Rogersville, and Lonnie H. Woods and Leeman A. Woods, both of Hartselle; a daughter, Angie Elmore of Franklin, Tenn.; a sister, Polly Callahan of Hartselle; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Don Woods, Brian Woods, Lou Woods, Drew Elmore, Leslie Griffith and Wayne Griffith.
