Elizabeth Louise Betsy Murray

A memorial service for Elizabeth Louise Betsy Murray, 82, of Hartselle will be Fri., Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Robert Sparkman and Harold Thompson officiating.

Visitation will be Fri., Feb. 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home

Mrs. Murray died Feb. 15, 2012, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Oct. 15, 1929, in Pennsylvania to Loucis Henry Sennett and Ruth Marion Kuhns Sennett. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was also an artist and was much loved by family and friends, and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marion Helen Burchfield.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Arthur Murray of Hartselle; two daughters, Pamelia Murray Asmann and husband Pete of Hartselle and Marcia Murray Massengill and husband Paschall of Tullahoma, Tenn.; a brother, John William Sennett of Maryville, Tenn.; two surviving grandchildren, Christy Wall and Kaci Wall; and a great-grandchild, Dominic Asmann.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First United Methodist Church, 210 Hickory St., SE, Hartselle, AL 35640.
