Ibra E. Jenkins

Funeral for Ibra E. Jenkins, 90, of Decatur will be Sat., Feb. 4, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Fanning officiating.

Visitation will be Fri., Feb. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.

Ms. Jenkins died Wed., Feb. 1, 2012, at her residence. She was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Morgan County to Robert Luther Long and Julia McDonald Long. She was a Methodist and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a very special aunt and was loved and adored by all of her nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Jenkins, and two sons, Robert Ray Jenkins and James Kenneth Jenkins.

She is survived by a son, Rick Jenkins and wife Regina of Decatur; six grandchildren, Mark Jenkins and wife Dana, Robert Jenkins and wife Gracie, Ross Jenkins and wife Angela, Martee Jenkins, Monica Vercher and husband Mike and Andrea Waits and husband Shannon; eight great-grandchildren, Weston Jenkins, Seth Jenkins, Chasity Jenkins, Elijah Jenkins, Chase Waits, Gage Waits, Drew Vercher and Madgie Vercher.

Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
