Funeral for Hamil Eugene Lawrence, 74, of Hartselle will be Wed. (today), Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Donnie Carroll and Walter Blackman officiating.

Mr. Lawrence died Sun., Jan. 15, 2012, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Jan. 2, 1938, in Morgan County to John Brasher Lawrence and Eula V. Couey Lawrence. He was married to his loving wife, Louise Carol Lawrence for 52 years. He was retired from Monsanto Co. after 38 years of service and was a member of East Highland Baptist Church. He loved to fish and was a father figure to many. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Lawrence of Hartselle; two sons, Bobby Lawrence Sr. and wife Linda of Danville and Charles Lawrence and wife Joyce of Hartselle; a sister, Patsy Townson and husband Olivar of Hartselle; five surviving grandchildren, Elizabeth Kimbrough and husband Seth, Bobby Lawrence Jr., Jacob Lawrence, Bailey Law-rence and Brasher Lawrence; honorary children, Jeff and Mike Wil-liams; and a host of others.
