Marietta Boone Cummings

Funeral for Marietta Boone Cummings, 65, of Bogue Chitto, Miss.,was Thursday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. at Harrigill Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mark Worsham officiating. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery.
Mrs. Cummings died November 29, 2004, at King's Daughters Medical Center. She was born March 8, 1939, in Brookhaven, Miss., to Robert Clyde Boone and Earline Walker Boone.
She was a former resident of Hartselle and a former longtime member of First United Methodist Church, where she was director of children, youth and elderly ministries for many years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Clyde Boone.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Elton (Buzzy) Cummings of Brookhaven; one son, David Cummings and wife Debbie Hostetter of Arlington, Tex.; one daughter, Karen Hollis and husband Rev. Jack Hollisof Memphis, Tenn.; her mother, Earline Walker Boone; three sisters, Virginia Boone Jenkins of Brandon, Miss., Lanelle Huffty and husband Billy of Baton Rouge, La. and Jeralyn Scroggins and husband Ronnie of Clanton; and three grandchildren, Christopher David Cummings, Wesley David Cummings and Jack Alexander Hollis, III.
Pallbearers were Nelson Cummings, Gene Cummings, John Jenkins, Billy Huffty, Ronnie Scroggins and Donald Boone.
