Lady Bulldogs win three to start season

The Priceville Lady Bulldogs opened the 2024 season by hosting their annual kickoff classic. They finished second behind Colbert Co. They picked up wins over Grissom (twice) and Dora.

Colbert Co. 5, Priceville 2
The Lady Bulldogs (3-2) fell 5-2 to Colbert Co. in the championship game of the Bulldog Kickoff Classic. Katee King had a hit and an RBI to lead Priceville, while Xoi Gaines added an RBI. Maddie Black took the loss after allowing five runs in 3.1 innings of work.

Priceville 3, Grissom 0
Darby Thigpen led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits and a run scored, while Kelsey Green had a hit and two runs scored. Elizabeth Murphy picked up the win after pitching six shutout innings, allowing three hits while striking out seven.

Priceville 10, Dora 0
King had two hits, three RBI and two runs scored to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Thigpen and Gaines each had a double and two RBI. Kelsey Green tossed four scoreless innings to earn the win, allowing two hits and striking out five.

Colbert Co. 8, Priceville 6
Green led Priceville with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored. King and Black each added an RBI. Murphy took the loss after allowing eight runs on nine hits in three innings of work.

Priceville 4, Grissom 2
Green had three hits and a run scored to lead the Lady Bulldogs in their season-opening win on Friday. Thigpen added two hits and an RBI, while King had a kit, an RBI and a run scored. Black picked up the win after pitching five innings and allowing two runs on four hits while striking out seven.

West Point 9, Falkville 0
Madison Veal, Melody Sims and Hope McClanahan each had a hit each for Falkville in their loss to West Point.

Winston County 5, Falkville 1
McClanahan had an RBI to lead Falkville in their loss to Winston County.. Veal, Allie Smith, Kasey Foote and Grace Rowe each had a hit.
