United Way of Morgan County’s sets Day of Caring for Sept. 14

United Way of Morgan County’s Day of Caring will take place Sept. 14. Dozens of participants will perform yard work, do landscaping and hold supply drives during the annual one-day volunteer event.

Projects include repairing walls at Tennessee Valley Outreach, making over the Tween Club at the Boys and Girls Club in Priceville, building a garden at the Boys and Girls Club at Oak Park, painting the Mental Health Center of North Alabama, landscaping Hospice of the Valley patients’ homes, repairing and replacing the fence at The Arc of Morgan County, cleaning up the playground at Sterrs Daycare and more.

Volunteers are also needed to organize drives collecting board games, painting supplies, pillows and toothpaste.
