Hogan, Hobbs to wed Aug. 2
Leroy and Phyllis Hogan of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Cassandra Lee Hogan, to Matthew Thomas Hobbs, son of David and Janet Hobbs of Falkville.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Danville High School, a 2000 graduate of Calhoun Community College, and a 2002 graduate of Athens State University with a degree in management.
She is the granddaughter of Kyle and Alma Long of Decatur, Dean Hogan of Danville and the late Loyal Hogan.
The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Hartselle High School. He is employed by Cook's Pest Control in Cullman. He is the grandson of Wilda Hyche of Cullman, the late Richard and Beatrice Hyche, and the late Marcus and Betha Hobbs.
The wedding will be held Aug. 2 at 5 p.m. at Hartselle Church of Christ.
McCaig, Bridges to wed Aug. 9
Bobby McCaig of Decatur and Sheila McCaig of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Melodie Shay McCaig of Hartselle, to William Fielder Bridges of Florence, son of Darwin and JoAnne Bridges of Florence.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Hartselle High School and is set to graduate from the University of North Alabama in December with a degree in marketing.
She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and a member of Omicron Delta Kappa. She is the granddaughter of Waymon and Jean Hensley of Danville, Ruth McCaig of Moulton and the late Aaron McCaig.
The groom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Mars Hill Bible School and a graduate of the University of North Alabama with a degree in marketing. He is an alumnus of Sigma Chi fraternity. He is employed by American General Finance. He is the grandson of Q.B. and MaryJo Fielder of Rogersville, Elise Bridges of Florence and the late Gaston Bridges.
The wedding will be held Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church in Hartselle.
Kirby, Jones to wed July 26
Randy and Ann Kirby of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Mandy Renee Kirby, to Matthew Burns Jones, son of David and Cindy Jones of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Hartselle High School and plans to attend The University of Alabama in Huntsville this fall. She is employed by OH! Bryan's Family Steakhouse. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lois Kirby of Hartselle and the late Rev. Orville Kirby, Mrs. Nancy Morgan of Hartselle and the late Donald Slaten.
The groom-elect is a 2000 graduate of Hartselle High School and attended the University of North Alabama and Wallace State College. He is employed by Charter Communications. He is the grandson of Jimmie and Judy Jones of Tuscaloosa and the late Doyle and Bettye Utley of Tuscaloosa.
The wedding will be held July 26 at 3 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church in Hartselle.
Vest, Newton to wed July 26
Randy and Saronda Vest of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Molly Rhea Vest, to Joshua Lawayne Newton, son of Cindy and Wayne Morgan of Falkville.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Danville High School and is currently attending Wallace State Community College pursuing an associate's degree in nursing. She is employed by Wal-Mart Supercenter in Hartselle. She is the granddaughter of Coree Vest of Hartselle and the late Greer Vest, and Celia Vest of Hartselle and the late John H. Vest.
The groom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Hartselle High School. He is employed by Littrell Lumber Mill Inc. in Decatur. He is the grandson of Norma Jean Bennett of Altus, Okla., and the late Les Hughes of Decatur.
The wedding will be held July 26 at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Decatur.
