Town of Falkville Activities

The Town of Falkville has been working on a new digital sign on East Pike Road. The sign will be used to share news, display upcoming events and more. The sign will help to keep the community and surrounding area informed.

Congratulations go out this week to the First Responder Friday honoree Tyler Tucker. Tyler is an EMT in Morgan County and a volunteer firefighter in Falkville. He was nominated by Charles Dalton, who had this to say about Tyler:

I have had the honor of working with Mr. Tucker for seven years now, and I can say he is one of the most dedicated individuals working in public safety. Mr. Tucker is always compassionate and respectful to the citizens he serves, and he has the strongest sense of duty I have ever encountered.

Mr. Tucker is usually the first to arrive and the last to clock out, and he never leaves a job half done.

Mr. Tucker never needs to be reminded to clean a truck or make sure his uniform is within compliance. He exercises the highest level of accountability when checking off his equipment, and he will go without food and sleep for extended periods of time to make sure others are taken care of.

I have witnessed Mr. Tucker go to great lengths not only to save lives but also to provide those who are suffering any comfort possible.

To me, integrity is defined as doing the right thing when nobody else is paying attention, and you can always depend on Tyler to do the right thing.

Mr. Tucker leads by example, and he is the EMT and firefighter we should all aspire to be.

Mr. Tucker’s grandmother passed away March 19 during the morning, and I know he is hurting. I have always respected him, and I truly believe he deserves to be recognized by his collagues and the communities he serves.

Thank you for your service Tyler! Tyler will receive a $100 gift card courtesy of Compass Homes of Alabama and Rocket 95.1.
