MCSO names supervisor of year

Special to the Enquirer

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office has recognized Sgt. Robert Halbrooks as the 2020 Supervisor of the Year.

Halbrooks has been with the sheriff’s office for 12 years and serves as a sergeant of the MCSO patrol division.

In addition to his primary duties, in 2020, Halbrooks took on the project manager role for a major systems upgrade of the records and jail management systems. He also acts as a liaison with area businesses and industries in managing external security requests.

In his spare time, he enjoys being an umpire for high school baseball and serves as the assignment official for many schools in north Alabama.

“Sgt. Robert Halbrooks has been invaluable to the sheriff’s office,” Sheriff Ron Puckett said. “I am grateful for his commitment and dedication in his leadership role on patrol. Whether it is a major project or a serving a warrant, you can rest assured it will be handled professionally and exceed expectations.”
