How You Met: Will and I are both graduates of Hartselle High School. I was a freshman when Will was a senior. We ended up just being friends because I knew my parents wouldn’t allow me to date a senior. Our paths reconnected when I was sophomore and Will was already off in the military. He messaged me on Instagram saying that he was in town and was just checking in on how I was. That started our long distance relationship. We were talking for four months before he came back home and started dating in April 2017.

The Proposal: I knew I wanted to get married at The Witt House one day, so he chose that spot for the proposal. It was on New Year’s Day, and all he told me was to be ready by a certain time. He ended up blindfolding me and taking me there (I honestly thought I was getting a puppy, but I wasn’t disappointed!). When I took the blindfold off, we were surrounded by candles and rose petals. He then got down on one knee and popped the question. Once I said yes, I heard cheering, and behind in the distance was all of our family.

What You Are Doing Now: Will is in the Army, so we currently live in Fayetteville, N.C., right outside of Ft. Bragg military base. I am attending FTCC seeking an advertising/graphic design degree. We have a new addition to our family, our sweet rescue dog named Conway.
