Singspiration to be held at Hartselle tabernacle on April 30

The “Singspiration” joint Falkville area service will be held at the Tabernacle in Hartselle on Sun., April 30 at 6 p.m. Ten Churches usually attend and present one music performance each. Mt. Zion Baptist Church will be the host church and refreshments will be served in the dining hall. Everyone is invited to attend the Singspiration at the Hartselle Tabernacle.

Corinth West Methodists enjoyed their Egg Hunt, crafts, games and refreshments on Sat., April 8 at 2 p.m. The event was held outside and in the fellowship hall. Linda Walker was in charge of the event. Brother Glenn McCain conducted the 6 a.m. Sunrise Service with breakfast following on Easter Sun., April 16. He is pastor at Mt. Vernon Methodist Church. Mt. Vernon and Piney Grove Methodists met at Corinth West for the joint service and meal. Bud Woods was in charge of the meal.

Special get-well wishes go out this week for Bud Woods along with our heartfelt prayers. Our thoughts and prayers also go out this week for Kathryne Jones Perkins and Ruth Carter Lewis.

Brother Malcolm Carter of the Temple Church near Battleground conducted special services for Easter on April 15 and 16.

Christian love and heartfelt sympathy goes out this week for the family of George Wendell Sims and also for the family of Billy James and for the family of Sharon Phillips.

Wonderful happy birthday wishes go out this week for Trey Summerford and Trey will celebrate his birthday on April 23.

Community and area children enjoyed the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Parents, youth and church helpers met at 5:30 p.m. for the event. Prizes and refreshments were provided.
