Alabama State Troopers arrested a Hartselle man on Nov. 10 during a traffic stop after he allegedly stole more than $500 in items from a Decatur Walmart.

A Loss Prevention manager with the Walmart on 2800 Spring Avenue southwest  filed a report with Decatur police on Nov. 2, stating that on Oct. 30, Bruce Allon Vest, 46, 1206 Ridgecrest Drive, allegedly stole a large quantity of items from the store.

Property Crimes Unit Det. Demetrius Hightower took the case and on Nov. 8, issued a warrant for Vest’s arrest.
When Troopers located Vest during a traffic stop, they arrested him and took him to Decatur City Jail where he was charged with Theft of Property in the Third Degree.

Police then took Vest to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
