Funeral for Boyd Motes, 61, of Moulton, will be Fri., July 3, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Johnson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Motes died Wed., July 1, 2015, at his residence. He was born Oct. 5, 1953, in Morgan County to Calvin Boyd Motes and Doris Marie Hill Motes. He was self-employed as the owner of Boyd’s Used Cars. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Ray Motes; two sons, Jeff Motes and Justin Motes; a daughter, Tracey Motes Mitchell; two brothers, Johnny Motes and Danny Motes; a sister, Beverly Maxwell; a daughter-in-law, Amy Motes; a son-in-law, Gerry Mitchell; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Herschel Brown, Daren Rollins, Dewayne Standridge, Joseph Wren, Preston Crutcher, Chris Maxwell, Joe Ray and C.J. Mote.
