The Morgan County Engineering Department announced that Danville Road will close starting Mon., June 22, in order to complete the bridge replacement.

Assuming that there is good weather and the project goes as planned, the department estimates that the road will re-open in two weeks. They will be extending their hours and bringing extra crews to complete the project as soon as possible. Due to the fact that Kirby Bridge Road is also closed, they recommend that the public use Highway 31 as a detour.

The Engineering Department has discussed the closures with emergency service providers to ensure that they will be able to meet the public’s needs during this time.
