Several Morgan County judges held a luncheon on Wed., June 3, to welcome the new United States Bankruptcy Judge, Clifton Jessup, Jr, to the Northern Division of Alabama.

Jessup replaced Judge Jack Caddell following his retirement. A native of Detroit, Jessup attended Oakwood University in Huntsville. Before his appointment as judge, he practiced bankruptcy law in Dallas, Tex. He has represented many clients, including Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. Attending the luncheon were Morgan County Circuit Judges Steven Haddock, Glenn Thompson and Jennifer Howell; District Judges Shelly Waters and Charles Langham; District Attorney Scott Anderson; Probate Judge Greg Cain; and Bar President Carl Cole. District Judge Brent Craig was unable to attend due to a prior commitment.
