Hall celebrates 95th birthday

Lurline S. Hall turned 95 on March 23.

She was born in New Orleans, La., in 1920 and has lived most of her life in Montgomery.

Hall was married to Charles W. Hall. She has temporarily moved to Hartselle due to a back injury.

She was surprised by her home church, Mt. Hill Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel, on Sun., March 15, where they dedicated in her honor a new stained glass window in the church library. She then celebrated with family on Mon., March 23.

Hall is lovingly referred to by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Nee Nee.”  She has three grandchildren, Lori Ann Kent (Kelly) of Hartselle, Nancy Poe (Michael) of Winter Springs, Fla., and Brandon Neeley (Michelle) of Denver, Colo.  She also has eight-great grandchildren:  Josh, Austin and Jacob Kent, all of Hartselle; Robbie, Charles and Mikayla Poe, all of Winter Springs, Fla.; and Katie and Ashley Neeley, both of Denver, Colo.
