Funeral for Sarah Williams Widner, 87, of Falkville will be Sat., Jan. 24, at 11a.m. at Pine Street Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Williams and Bro. Gary Dutton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., Jan. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Widner died Thur., Jan. 22, 2015, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Nov. 14, 1927, in Morgan County to Elton Clellie Gibson and Dollie Kilpatrick Gibson. She was a charter member of the Pine Street Baptist Church and was the “Mother of the Church.” She was a nurse for 50 years and was always willing to help anyone in need. Ms. Widner was a very loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and a wonderful friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, Jimmy and John Paul Williams.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Williams (Linda) of Falkville and Sherrill Williams (Jamie) of Ripley, Tenn.; a daughter, Alice Dutton (Gary) of Falkville; two brothers, Herman Gibson of Falkville and Howard Gibson of Priceville; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jack Kemp, Chuck Green, Harlon Smith, Dale Robinson, David Scott, Jonathan Chaney, Terry Kelsey and Mike Sharitt.
