Dear Editor,

I have been watching, with disgust, all the support for Michael Brown. No, I am not a racist, but I can recognize the difference in right and wrong. It seems, as happens many times, facts are ignored for feelings. Fact is, Michael Brown was a thug. He had just committed a strong arm robbery and did you notice the look on his face when the storeowner confronted him. He was walking down the middle of the road (which usually impedes traffic) and defying any authority to confront him. When Officer Wilson confronted him, he hit him. Officer Wilson apparently had pulled his weapon and Brown tried to turn it on him (Wilson). When he had been shot in the hand (a result of his own action) he went down the street and Officer Wilson got out of his squad car, already badly bruised by this man. Michael Brown turned back to come after him. Now I want all of you who think Officer Wilson was wrong to imagine an irate man who is 5 to 6 inches taller than you and outweighs you by about 100 pounds, coming toward you with hate in his eyes and has already demonstrated his contempt for you and what you represent, to tell me you wouldn’t fear for your life. All of this “hands in the air” garbage is not true, according, to non-perjury witnesses. If Officer Wilson had not stopped him and Michael Brown beat on Officer Wilson, perhaps killing him, would there be such an outrage and demonstrations on behalf of Officer Wilson.

Now, I regret the loss of any life in this type of circumstances, but I also am able to be truthful with the facts. Consider this: woe to those who call evil good and good evil . . . Isaiah 5:20. If you are going to take a stand and demonstrate, be sure you do so for “good” not just knee jerk feelings.
