Gladys Dean Swanner

Funeral for Gladys Dean Swanner, 89, of Athens was Friday, March 14, at 1 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Craig officiating.
Burial was in Gatlin Cemetery.
Mrs. Swanner died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at her residence. A native of Madison County, she was a lifelong Baptist and retired from ConAgra of Athens. She was the sister of the late Hural Alexander Jones, Shields Orin Jones, Shelby Clinton Jones, Jr., Mary Ella Swanner and Mable Pearl Broadway.
She is survived by three sons, Ray Swanner of Athens, Billy Swanner of Huntsville and Don Swanner of Hartselle; two daughters, Faye Craig of Athens and Paulette Dean of Hartselle; three brothers, the Rev. Chester Jones of Ardmore, Aaron Jones of Mount Pleasant, Tenn., and John Williams Jones of Chattanooga; two sisters, Edna Heard of Toney and Louise Reyer of Ardmore; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dennis Craig, Gary Craig, Mark Swanner, Lynn Dean, Bruce Craig and Deverle Nave.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
