FALKVILLE NEWS: Falkville Public Library open house set for April 1

The annual beauty pageant at Falkville High School will be held April 7 at 7 p.m. Karen Wilemon is the sponsor. Admission is $5.

A singspiration will be held Sun., March 30, at Falkville United Methodist Church at 6 p.m. several local church choirs will perform in the program. The public is invited.

April 1 has been set for open house at the Falkville Public Library. The hours are set from 3 until 6 p.m.

Members of the library board are Tina Rogers, Jane Hill, Pamela McDonald, Kay Farrer and Rhona Summerford. They will conduct a tour of the library.

Library hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon, and closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.

Visiting with Herman and Adell Gibson have been Franklin and Sue Harrison of Decatur, Gail Howard of Hartselle, Lavon Gibson, Stanley Ryan of Cleveland, Floyd Bradford, Steve McCellan and J. C. Dunaway.

Belated birthday wishes are extended to Gail Howard from her parents, Herman and Adell Gibson. Her special day was March 15. Helping Gail celebrate her special day were her husband, Wayne, and their daughter, Melina Staffort and her two children, Mattie Kat and Gib.
