Chappell’s Karate Basket Brigade for 2013 is accepting donations to provide Christmas meals for needy families of Morgan County.

Donations are used to buy turkeys, canned vegetables, baking potatoes, cranberry sauce, pies, rolls, Bibles and Christmas cards. The soft drinks are also included, but they are donated to the Brigade by Pepsi. Several volunteers (including children) will gather on Sat., Dec. 21, beginning at 11 a.m.at the OWO (Osborne, Warren, Oden) Rec. Center in Hartselle to package enough food to make a complete Christmas dinner. The boxes will then be loaded into volunteers’ (including children) vehicles and delivered to needy families in Hartselle, Decatur, Somerville, Priceville, Falkville, Eva, etc. just in time for Christmas.
