The Brooks Lions brought their “A” game to Bulldog Stadium Friday night and dominated the Priceville Bulldogs in every category in a 44-7 rout of their region opponent.

The Bulldog faithful came out in large numbers to see a Region 8 battle. However, Priceville turned the ball over seven times and had numerous other miscues and penalties.

The Lions (3-0, 2-0) capitalized on good field position from the Bulldogs turnovers to lead 28-0 at the half.

While the Bulldogs fought back and produced nearly 300 yards of total offense, they could not turn the yards into points, with the Lions controlling the momentum and the line of scrimmage.

Turnovers and penalties kept Priceville from the end zone after several trips into the red zone.

Priceville (2-1, 1-1) who averaged more than 30 points per game before Friday night, broke the shutout with a touchdown pass from Kaleb Barker to Luke Mason from 17 yards out.

“We just couldn’t get any rhythm tonight,” Barker said. “We will be fine. We will get it. It’s just one game.”

The Bulldogs travel this next Friday to Wilson for another region game.
