Hartselle Police have arrested a woman in connection with a shooting Wednesday morning.

Amanda Westmoreland Engle was arrested at a residence on County Road 1078 in Vinemont. The vehicle in which she left the shooting scene was recovered in a field approximately one mile away from the residence.

The suspect was charged with theft of property first degree and given a $50,000 bond.  The shooting at the Exxon is still under investigation and further charges on Engle are expected for the incident.

The victim, Sam Martin, 38, of Hartselle, remains in Huntsville Hospital in stable condition. He underwent surgery Wednesday morning.

Engle is now being held at the Morgan County Jail.
