Jimmy Sivley

Funeral for Jimmy Sivley, 78, of Hartselle was Sun., July 28, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J. Wayne Penn and the Rev. Greg Alred officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Sivley died Fri., July 26, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born June 26, 1935, in Lawrence County to Monroe Guy Sivley and Jimmie Lou Buttram Sivley. Mr. Sivley was a member and deacon of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, a member of the Morgan County Cattleman’s Association and a member of the Antique Tractor Club. He was formerly employed by International Paper Company and Monsanto as a Millwright and did farming. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wayne and M.G. Sivley Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Walker Sivley of Hartselle; two sons, Greg Sivley and wife Tara of Hartselle and Tim Sivley and wife Stacey of Cullman; three sisters, Peggy Hightower, Jean Minor and Sue Payne, all of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Taylor Sivley, Trent Sivley and Tad Sivley.

Pallbearers were friends.
