Two people are facing drug charges after authorities confiscated liquid methamphetamine from a residence in the Baileyton community.

Andy Derrick Cluxton and Anna Burden were arrested and charged with the unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance – methamphetamine 1st degree, trafficking methamphetamine and felony drug paraphernalia. Andy Derrick Cluxton had an additional charge of drug endangerment of a child. Both suspects were transported to the Morgan County Jail.

Cluxton is being held on a $1.01 million bond while Burden was being held on a

$1.008 million bond.

The juvenile daughter of Cluxton was present at the time of the arrest. She was released to her grandmother after going through decontamination from being exposed to the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Morgan County Drug Task Force Agents along with sheriff’s deputies executed misdemeanor warrants on Cluxton at the residence located at 61 St. John Road Wed., July 24. Upon entering the residence, authorities noticed a strong chemical odor usually associated in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine.

A search warrant was obtained for the residence and property, which is the property and residence of Andy Derrick Cluxton and Anna Burden. Agents located a glass jar containing 249 grams of liquid methamphetamine, empty pseudoephedrine blister packs, receipts for purchases of iodine, empty iodine bottles and chemical reagents including acid and chemical solvents.

Numerous coffee filters containing a white powder substance identified as methamphetamine was also discovered.
