Ayre honored by library

Members of the Falkville Library Board dedicated this custom made metal bench in memory of the late Vernon Ayre Sr. Sunday afternoon, June 30. Ayre served on the library board from 2006 to 2010. The bench, which encircles a dogwood tree in front of the library, was designed, manufactured and installed by Anders Machine Shop in Falkville. It was funded from gifts donated to the library in Mr. Ayre’s memory. Family members are shown sitting on the bench after its dedication.
