“This is part of Decatur Morgan Hospital’s commitment to the community, and is one of many capital improvements to be made over the next 3-5 years,” said Leigh Hays, marketing director.

According to Bryan Vest, executive director of inpatient nursing, the beds are unique in their level of comfort, way they promote healing, and gel-cells infused with air that reduce instances of pressure and increase patient safety.

Each bed has an alarm to notify medical personnel if a patient moves from the bed, helping to prevent falls. In addition, personnal are notified of any changes made to settings on the bed such as rails or elevation.
