Lay aside selfishness, treat others with respect

“Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.”

– Philippians 2:3

This verse tells us we are to lay aside selfishness, treating others with respect and common courtesy. Considering others’ interest as more important than our own links us with Christ, who was a true example of humility. Let each of us look not only for his own interests, but also for others.
