Kinney, Hudson exchange vows

Rebekah Brooke Kinney and Donald Wayne Hudson were married Aug. 4, 2012, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Quail Creek Golf Resort with the Revs. Tim Kinney and Danny Johnston officiating.

A reception followed at the Pavilion at Quail Creek with a fireworks display bringing the evening to a close.

The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Tim and Jackie Kinney of Vinemont and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ollen Kinney of Vinemont, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Campbell of Eva and the late William Fowler of Eva.

The groom is the son of Donald and Angie Hudson of Hanceville and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Shelton of Bremen and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hudson of Hanceville.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, the Rev. Tim Kinney.

She wore a House of Wu white taffeta halter top gown with a sequin appliqué that flowed into a full A-line skirt. Her fingertip veil was accented with sequins, and she carried a bouquet of white and pink roses.

The outdoor pergola held bright pink Gerber daisies, bright green spider mums, and white hydrangeas with flowing organza linking the pergola to white columns around the wedding site.

Tori Francis of Eva was the maid of honor and Brittany Peak of Eva was the matron of honor. Bridal attendants were Ashley West Martin of Union Hill and Amber Stone Holeman of Somerville. The attendants wore pink knee-length Pretty Maids dresses with high rouched neckline and flower detail.

The flower girls were Ivey and Ellie Howse. The girls wore tea length white dresses by Forever Yours. Eli Howse was the ring bearer.

Daniel Boyd of Hanceville was best man.

Groomsmen were Nathan Morgan of Hanceville, Blake Kinney of Montgomery and Michael Hudson of Hanceville. The groomsmen also served as ushers along with Cameron Hudson.

Music and vocals were provided by DeWayne Fowler of Trinity, along with Crystal Mason, Debi Hill and Jessica Terry. Violinists were Annalise Holmes and Stephen Adair.

The reception was held at The Pavilion at Quail Creek whose staff also catered the buffet style reception along with Marcy’s Catering Service of Eva.

Creative Cakes of Cullman designed both cakes which included a four-tier wedding cake with three different flavors- white, chocolate, and strawberry. The cake was completed with buttercream icing and accented with swirls and a pink ribbon at the base of each layer. It was topped with the initials of the bride and groom. The groom’s cake was a large Reese’s cup complete with peanut butter inside and chocolate covered outside. Cookin’ Sisters of Somerville provided specialty cakes of Coconut, Hummingbird, Red Velvet, Chocolate Fudge, Irish Cream, and a favorite of the groom…sugar cookies.

Jordan Burt of Eva and Lauren Johnson of Moulton were the bridal book attendants.

Water, picture, cake, reception servers and favor attendants were Diona Fowler, Destiny Fowler and Desireé Fowler, all of Trinity, Stacey Fowler, Tayler Fowler and Lindsey Fowler, all of Eva, Leah Kinney and Jan Young, both of Vinemont, and Amber Stewart and Brianna Hudson, both of Cullman, along with the catering servers.

Angela Hampton of Quail Creek was the wedding director,and Jeremy Oden of Precious Collections provided the fireworks show.

The couple honeymooned on a northeast tour in Boston, Mass., New York, N.Y., and Philadelphia, Pa.

A rehearsal party was given by the groom’s parents at The Quail Creek Conference Center.

Prenuptial parties:

• The groom was given a tool and gadget shower by the men of Abundant Grace Church.

• A bachelorette party was hosted by Tori Francis in Huntsville on July 28, 2012.

• A bridal shower was given by the ladies of Abundant Grace Church and the groom’s family on June 17, 2012.

• A bridal shower for friends and family was given by Jan Young, Diona Fowler, Megan Hudson, and the late Teresa Holmes Higdon in Eva on July 14, 2012.
