Funeral for Dwight E. Looney, 66, of Falkville was Wed., Aug. 11, at 2 p.m. at Roundtop Community Church with Bro. Pearl Jenkins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Roundtop Cemetery.
Mr. Looney died Mon., Aug. 9, 2010, at his residence. He was born Jan. 9, 1944, in Oklahoma to Perishing Wiley Looney and Annabelle Copeland Looney. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War as a jet engineer mech-tech.
He is survived by his wife, Merle Looney of Falkville; two daughters, Melinda Shaddrix and husband John of Falkville and Joyce Lawrence and husband Charles of Hartselle; three brothers, Henry Looney and Jim Looney, both of Falkville and Bill Looney of Vinemont; and five grandchildren, Kodie Shaddrix, Courtney Shaddrix, Jakob Lawrence, Bailey Lawrence and Brasher Lawrence.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
