New Center welcomes music leader

Before long summer will be over and fall will be starting. I love autumn and its beautiful colors. Some folks think that autumn is as good as spring. There are always some neat things to do in the fall.
Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Brenda Estes and Milton Garrison.
A special thank you goes out to Nicole Halbrooks Vaughn who donated a copy of her new book “Devotions from Genesis—It’s Not Just Ancient History,” to the New Center Baptist Church Library.
Nicole is the wife of Patrick Vaughn and the daughter of Wayne and Loretta Halbrooks.
Happy birthday wishes go out to Bobby Hanners, Doug Keel and Savannah Miller, all on Aug. 12, Anna Patterson on Aug. 13, Chelsea Montgomery, Ford Gates, Brooke Petty and Ali Petzold Mast on Aug. 14, Dennis Morgan on Aug. 15, Felton Hanners on Aug. 16, Landon and Lily Dean and Brooklyn Pratt, all on Aug. 17 and Margaret Hanners and Michael Kirkpatrick, both of Aug. 18.
A special welcome is extended to Bro. Wayne Brown who has accepted a call to be the music worship leader at New Center Baptist Church, effective Sunday, Aug. 22. Please pray for Bro. Wayne, Vanessa and Benny as they begin their ministry at New Center.
I don’t know about you but when it comes to making choices I really struggle. I guess that I lack confidence.
My biggest problem is I try to accomplish things on my own ability without first placing my trust in God to direct me in the way I should go, knowing full well without doing this I can fail. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him. and He shall direct thy paths.
Christian love and sympathy is extended to the families and friends of Eula Goree Speed and Allen Trainer.
Happy birthday wishes go out to Shelby Jenkins, A. H. Hughes, Greg Johnson and Patrick Ray, all on Aug. 5, Brooke Fortenberry, Pat Halbrooks and Mae Pettit, all on Aug. 6, Billy T. Shadden on Aug. 7, Kenneth Robins on Aug. 8, Kailey Carpenter, Autumn Lewis, Justin Davis, Gerald Dugger and Susan Moral, all on Aug. 11. May all of you have a great day.
Happy wedding anniversary to Steve and Elaine Perry on Aug. 5, Chad and Blanda Bloodworth on Aug. 6, Charles and Evelene Teague on Aug. 9 and David and Ramona Dean on Aug. 10.
