Danville softball throttles Hanceville

Danville pounded out 17 hits and 16 RBIs to earn a 17-0 win over Hanceville in just three innings Thursday, giving the Lady Hawks (4-1) their fourth consecutive win.

Callie Ryan led the way, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and four RBIs. Hanna Grace Sherrill went 3-for-4 with two runs and a stolen base.

Shelby Beck also finished 3-for-4 with a double, three runs and four RBIs. Bailey King had two hits, two runs and an RBI while Michelle Clem was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs.

Sloan Lindsey was a 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Other batters collecting hits were Morgan Weatherwax (two runs and an RBI), Savannah Bolton (two runs) and Andrea Carter (a run and two RBIs). Kellee Stiles reached on an error and scored a run.

Bolton and Carter combined to retire all nine Hanceville batters. Bolton earned the win and had three strikeouts.
