It wasn’t pretty, but Brewer defeated Hartselle 53-28 in both teams’ final regular season game Monday night.

Despite the sloppy play, Brewer coach Ricky Allen said he wasn’t concerned about it heading into the playoffs.

“We’ve played our last three games without having a practice between them,” Allen said. “Both teams kind of played sloppy in the second half, but it something you expect to happen at the end of the season.

“This is the last time we’ll play back-to-back days this year.”

Riley Northway led the way again with 21 points and 12 rebounds while Cheyenne McLemore added nine points. Malerie Drinkard scored eight points while point guard Rheagan Harvel had four points, seven assists and six steals.

Sierra Kinser and Caitlin Lavendar both added four points each. Savana Flack rounded out the scoring with a 3-pointer.

Brewer will host Scottsboro on Thursday while Hartselle will host West Point.
