Veterans Day Parade Program

“WELCOME HOME AND THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE”

Armistice Day (also known as Remembrance Day) is on 11 November and commemorates the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne, France, for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front, which took effect at eleven o’clock in the morning— the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918.

9:00 AM – Morgan Cattlemen’s Association begins cooking free hot dogs

Don is a Hartselle native, a graduate of MCHS where he played football under Coach Bucky Pitts. He received his commission in the U.S. Army through the Jacksonville State ROTC and served in the 101st Airborne Division as a rifle platoon leader.
