Funeral for Vera May Holt, 61, of Decatur was Monday, July 27, at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Redmond officiating.
Burial was in Hebron Cemetery in Joppa.
Mrs. Holt died Friday, July 24, 2009. She was born Nov. 18, 1947, in Marshall County to Edward Benefield and Mazene Campbell Benefield. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hartselle. She once owned Scruples and Bushwhackers Salon in Decatur. She was also a cosmetology instructor for Masters of Huntsville. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Holt Jr. and wife Dinah of Hartselle; a daughter, Tina D. Holt of Hartselle; two half-brothers, Gary Benefield and Terry Benefield, both of Sylacauga; a half-sister, Linda Williams of Talladega; two grandsons, Matthew Holt and John Holt; and a granddaughter, Danielle Holt
Pallbearers were friends and family members.
