Maples reunion planned for Oct. 6 at New Center Baptist

Mums, pumpkins, cornstalks, ribbons, bales of hay. Many are decorating for the fall season.

I always enjoy driving around and looking at all the beautiful yards. Get well wishes to Berta Wilson who has been in the hospital.

Happy birthday to: youth pastor Steve Chauvront of Somerville Baptist, October 1; Terry Thornton, October 3; Marie Bartlett, Corey Doshier, October 4; Steve Aguado, Evelyn Teague, October 5; Kylie Hendrix, October 6. Mathilda Lee and Fred and Evelyn Motes enjoyed a couple of days at Guntersville Lake.

It’s time for the Maples reunion, the descendants of T.B. (Bud) and Effie (Reeves) Maples. This is a reminder to please contact all of your family members, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, etc.

Let’s plan for a big crowd this year. Saturday, October 6, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church. Everyone bring a covered dish to share and we’ll have some more of that Maples’ family good eatin’! Don’t forget to bring some family pictures for us to enjoy as well.

We don’t have everybody’s addresses so I am counting on your help in contacting family members that you are in close contact with. See you October 6!
