McRaney, Watson to wed next month

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rex McRaney Jr. of Raymond, Miss., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Lynell McRaney, to Andrew Samuel Watson, son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Watson Jr. of Hartselle.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Gary Haden, of Clinton, Miss., the late Mrs. Nell Ricker of Madison, Miss., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rex McRane, Sr. of Raymond, Miss.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Jane T. Watson of Montgomery, the late Mr. James R. Watson Sr., the late Mrs. Geraldine A. Watson, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney S. Harpe of Live Oak, Fla., and Mrs. Elizabeth McCoy of Miami, Fla.

Miss McRaney is a 2008 honors graduate of Porter’s Chapel Academy in Vicksburg, Miss. She graduated with highest honors from the University of Southern Mississippi, receiving a bachelor’s degree in child life in 2012. During her time at Southern Miss., she was a member of Delta Gamma, Eagle Ambassadors and Diamond Darlings. Prior to graduation, Miss McRaney completed an internship at Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children. She is currently employed by McRaney and McRaney Attorneys at Law.

Mr. Watson is a 2006 graduate of Hartselle High School. He attended Marion Military Institute, where he earned an associate of science degree. He is also a 2012 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration. At USM, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He is currently a 2nd lieutenant in the Army National Guard.

The couple will exchange vows Sat., Sept. 22, at Houmas House Plantation in Darrow, La. A reception will follow at the Houmas House Pavilion. Following the wedding, the couple will make their home in Clinton, Miss.
